{"id":15125,"date":"2023-12-13T10:10:08","date_gmt":"2023-12-13T10:10:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.devon.gov.uk\/eycs\/?p=15125"},"modified":"2023-12-13T12:00:23","modified_gmt":"2023-12-13T12:00:23","slug":"stronger-partnership-hub-sph-south-west-training-the-importance-of-emotional-regulation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.devon.gov.uk\/eycs\/stronger-partnership-hub-sph-south-west-training-the-importance-of-emotional-regulation\/","title":{"rendered":"Stronger Partnership Hub (SPH) South West Training &#8211; The Importance of Emotional Regulation"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Stronger Practice Hub\u202f(SPH) programme was launched in November 2022, as part of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/publications\/education-recovery-support\" rel=\"noopener\">Department for Education\u2019s\u202fEarly Years Education COVID-19 Recovery Package<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The programme aims to support providers to address the impact of the pandemic on young children, by sharing effective practice and building lasting local networks.<\/p>\n<p>The SPH for the South West will be delivery training on <strong>Emotional Regulation<\/strong> in the new year.<\/p>\n<p>The course will cover the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>How does emotional regulation develop?<\/li>\n<li>How to help a child to regulate their emotions<\/li>\n<li>Strategies to support children to develop self-regulation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>By attending you will develop an understanding of:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The importance of emotional regulation on the development child and those around them<\/li>\n<li>The long-term effects of not being able to regulate emotion can have on a child.<\/li>\n<li>How to spot a child who is unable to self-regulate.<\/li>\n<li>Strategies that might support a child who has difficulties in regulating their emotions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The workshop is aimed at <strong>all<\/strong> practitioners.<\/p>\n<h2>Register for the training:<\/h2>\n<p>To register for the training please visit: <a href=\"https:\/\/us8.list-manage.com\/survey?u=bbec643126697d1e2c747b730&amp;id=650740f613\" rel=\"noopener\">Mailchimp Survey (list-manage.com)<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Please note: the SPH are unable to progress any expression of interest if you are not signed up to the Hub.
