Thank you to those that have been contacted regarding vulnerable children in your setting the information provided has been really useful. This is to remind you that where you have concerns regarding children’s safety and wellbeing that you should be following your normal safeguarding policies and procedures.
If you have a child that has social worker so is either child protection, child in need or child in care and they are booked to attend your setting after Easter but do not attend for two subsequent days, you must let the child’s social worker know. If you are unable to contact the social worker then please request to speak to either the duty social worker for the team or the social workers practice manager.
We are currently developing a flow chart to give greater clarity with regards to supporting these vulnerable children and action required, this should be available shortly.
