Research shows that a high number of offenders have speech, language and communication needs. Antisocial behaviour, school exclusion and custodial sentences can be a direct result of these needs. The Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT) have created a training programme called The Box. It can be completed in any order, at your own pace – the modules will save your progress so you do not have to do it all at once.

Across Devon schools and settings have been using a number of tools created and published by the Autism Education Trust (AET). But did you know that AET are about to release the updated Autism Progression Framework 2.0? This free-to-download framework has been commissioned by the DfE and can be used in all mainstream and specialist settings (early years, primary, secondary and post 16).

The evidence-based framework is a valuable resource to help practitioners to identify and collate learning goals and progress. A dedicated training module will be available to help practitioners to maximise the use of this valuable resource.
