Planning ahead for September 2021: EYFS Reforms

The current EYFS Framework was first proposed in 2008 and has been revised several time since (2012, 2014 and 2017). Each update leads to changes in daily practice, staff training, policies and paperwork in some way. Change is expected again and from September 2021 all early years providers will have to comply with a new revised EYFS Framework (EYFS Reforms).

Many of our Devon early years practitioners have been requesting information about the EYFS Reforms, currently 40 Devon schools are trialling the new materials as early adopters and we hope to learn from their experiences. We understand that our Devon practitioners like to plan ahead and be fully prepared to implement the new EYFS Framework. We would like to reassure you that the Babcock Early Years Consultants and the Early Years and Childcare Advisers will be offering a range of training opportunities during the summer term 2021 to support you with the transition from one framework to another. More information will follow once we receive the training materials from the DfE later this term.
