Invitation to Bookstart steering group

BookTrust is developing new resources to support those who give out Bookstart Treasure packs to ensure they are fully informed about what the programme is, how it could fit within their existing workload and want to make sure that the information they need is supplied in a helpful way. We want people to feel confident about giving this special gift to families. This will ensure that families receiving the Bookstart Treasure packs have the best possible introduction to why reading together is important.

We are eager to dig a little deeper with a small number of practitioners to make sure that the resources we are going to develop really are needed, useful and practical. We are holding a series of short steering group sessions to talk through some of our ideas in more detail. We would like to invite you to a session at:

  • Exeter Library, 19 November pm

Light refreshments will be provided and travel expenses will be covered (within the limits of BookTrust guidance).

If you are interested in joining the Bookstart Treasure steering group please complete this expression of interest form.

Places are limited so please reply as soon as possible and by 2 November at the latest.

I hope you will consider taking part in this research to help us develop the very best resources for colleagues in the sector.

Best wishes,

Emma Moorby, Head of Early Years
