Inspecting Safeguarding

Ofsted has updated its guidance on inspecting safeguarding in early years, education and skills settings for England to align with expectations of providers regarding with the Department for Education’s (DfE’s) updated guidance on keeping children safe in education. This is a useful resource to assist with knowing what Ofsted Inspectors will be expecting with regards safeguarding when they do an inspection.

This is also reminder that there is an updated version for the Keeping Children Safe in Education from September 2021. All school managed providers must be following this document and for all other providers it is referred to within the EYFS.
