The Education Committee launches a new inquiry into the childcare sector and early years education, examining why it has become too expensive for a growing proportion of young families.
Changes to the early years educator level 3 criteria – consultation
That the Department for Education launched the public consultation on the revised criteria for the Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification criteria, part of the Early Years Education Recovery Package programme in November 2022. The consultation will close on Monday 23 January 2023. They are very keen to hear views.
Childminders: report new adults in the home
You must tell Ofsted about new people aged 16 or over who live or work in the home you look after children in within 14 days. This includes children who turn 16.
Change made: clarified that, in line with the EYFS, assistants should not be included in the ratios until they have been deemed suitable.
