It’s #FundingFriday. This week we’ve added information on:

  • The Benesco Charity Limited
  • Wilko Helping Hands
  • The Viscount Amory’s Charitable Trust
  • Marsh Christian Trust

The Benesco Charity Limited

Grants for education, welfare and medical initiatives across England and Wales.

The normal policy of the directors of Benesco and the trustees of CWCT is not to make grants to individuals and to make grants in the UK only to registered charities, or to hospitals and schools and similar charitable institutions.

For information about how to approach the Charity for grant support, write to:

Wilko Helping Hands

Support for local groups and community projects near a Wilko store.

Each Wilko (also known as Wilkinsons) store has a budget to give a little Helping Hand to local groups and community projects.

Local organisations can also be given Wilko gift cards, products or volunteers to help with whatever you’re doing for your community – whether it’s a raffle prize to help with fund raising or tins of paint and extra helpers to do up a community centre.

Visit Wilko’s Helping Hands webpage for more information

The Viscount Amory’s Charitable Trust

A discretionary grant-making trust that awards grants to registered charities providing services in Devon in the fields of education and the relief of poverty, particularly where it benefits children, young people and the elderly.

Preference is given to smaller charitable organisations where a small award will make a significant difference.

Applications may be made at any time in writing. Letters should be no longer than two sides of A4 and should include:

  1. General background information about the appeal.
  2. The nature of the sponsoring or associated organisation.
  3. The total amount the group are looking to raise.
  4. How much has been raised to-date.
  5. How the group proposes to raise any shortfall, and
  6. Any further information relevant for the attention of the Trustees.

Marsh Christian Trust

The Trust supports around 300 charities every year and focuses on providing funding which could help small organisations pay for various running costs, such as volunteer expenses, training days, equipment maintenance and other core outgoings.

Grants are unrestricted and range from £300 to £2,000 with new applications at the lower end of this scale

Applications are considered on the basis of the organisation’s financial position, performance against charitable aims and objectives and the ratio of voluntary income against fundraising expenses.
Applications can be submitted at any time.
