Small Grants Scheme – Foyle Foundation
This Small Grants Scheme is designed to support charities registered and operating in the United Kingdom, especially those working at grass roots and local community level, in any field, across a wide range of activities.
Online applications can be accepted from charities that have an annual turnover of less than £150,000 per annum. Larger or national charities will normally not be considered under this scheme.
The focus will be to make one-year grants only to cover core costs or essential equipment, to enable ongoing service provision, homeworking, or delivery of online digital services to charities that can show financial stability.
The priority will be to support local charities still active in their communities which are currently delivering services to the young, vulnerable, elderly, disadvantaged or the general community either directly or through online support if possible.
Grants are available between £2000 and £10,000.
Asda Foundation: Investing in Spaces & Places
The Asda Foundation supports charities and not-for-profit organisations that are carrying out projects to benefit the local community and that have the support of their local Asda store.
There are Asda stores in Newton Abbot, Torquay, Paignton, Plymouth, Barnstaple and Bideford, as well as Wellington in Somerset (near the Devon border).
The Investing in Spaces and Places scheme will provide grants of between £10,000 and £25,000 for community groups to repair or develop community buildings or outside spaces.
The aim is to:
- create and/or develop safe and inclusive community spaces for groups to meet and bring people together
- create or improve spaces which can be used by a range of groups on a regular basis
- support groups to deliver long-lasting projects focused on long-term community impact
All applications must be made via your local Asda Community Champion: you will need to get in touch with your local Asda store and speak to the Community Champion about your project proposal
Application deadline: 19 March 2023
