Early Years Pupil Premium for children in care

Early Years Pupil Premium (EYPP) is available for children in care if they:

  • are looked after by a Local Authority in England or Wales and are placed in foster care or
  • have left care in England or Wales through a Special Guardianship Order, Child Arrangements Order or an Adoption Order.

To claim funding for these children the Early Years Pupil Premium Form for Children In Care needs to be completed by the parent / guardian and supported with a copy of the appropriate evidence / order. The form can be edited by the provider and emailed to families that may be eligible along with your Privacy Notice for GDPR. The parent / guardian can either choose to complete the form electronically and return it by email to the Provider or to eyef@devon.gov.uk along with a copy of the evidence, or they may prefer to complete a paper copy and return it to the Provider so that it can be emailed securely to us via Egress Switch.
Due to current working arrangements, please do not post applications to County Hall.

You do not need to apply for children who are in the care of Devon County Council as EYPP will be allocated automatically.

You cannot apply for Early Years Pupil Premium through the Provider Portal for Children in Care. Please only use the Provider Portal to input EYPP information for Parents/Carers who are in receipt of one of the qualifying benefits.
