Targeted training to improve relationships between practitioners and children with additional needs

Following a successful bid for funding, Devon County Council and Babcock LDP will be offering an exciting opportunity to a select group of early years providers to extend their practice by training to become a Video Interactive Guidance (VIG) practitioner.

VIG works by actively engaging those working with children to develop better relationships with children who they identify as needing additional support with their behavioural and developmental needs. In a school or nursery setting this could be an early year’s practitioner working with a child who may have language difficulties for example, or a child could be showing signs of being autistic.

Identified settings will receive an information letter about the VIG training (week commencing 24th January 2022) with an invite to attend one of two information sessions organised during February 2022.
