Can you help us by completing a survey about inclusivity?

We have previously consulted with families who have used Short Breaks (click here for more information about short breaks) as well as our contracted Short Breaks providers but in recognition of the impact that the pandemic may have had on some children and families,  we felt we should check out if anything has changed for them.  We want to know what families and providers need from short breaks and what the effects of Covid-19 and the lockdowns have been for them.

We would also like to understand why activities provided by “mainstream settings” are not being taken up or are available to disabled children in Devon. We want to find out what the barriers are and what we could do as a council to support organisations to be more inclusive.

We also want to find out from organisations and professionals what they think is the best thing about working with disabled children and young people – this will help us to champion inclusivity as well as encouraging others to open up their activities to a wider audience.

If you are a child or young person (up to 25 years of age), a parent/carer, a shorts break provider or a professional/volunteer working with children and young people, please help us by clicking here to answer a survey

The survey is open until the end of September.
