Baby Packs for 0-1 and Treasure Packs for 3 year olds are available to collect from any Devon library.

We are inviting SEND providers to apply to our Small Grants Scheme. The scheme provides funding of up to £5,000. The deadline for applications is midnight on 6 June 2021.

This is a reminder that 30 hour funding is only available for children who turned 3 by 31st March and had a valid code with a start date up to 31st March 2021. 

From Summer Term 2021 we will no longer require the SEND Individual Inclusion Reviews to be emailed into the Early Years Funding mailbox.  You must continue to complete the termly review, share with your parents and store them securely.  The review may be requested by professionals during a visit or may need to be emailed to Early Years if funding is audited. 

As part of supporting the EYFS Reforms that will be implemented as of the 1st September 2021, Safeguarding Forums have been arranged that will specifically discuss the changes to the Safeguarding and Welfare Requirements.

Updates include: ‘Guidance for parents and carers of children attending out-of-school settings during the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak’; ‘Protective measures for holiday or after-school clubs and other out-of-school settings for children during the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak’; ‘Actions for early years and childcare providers during the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak’ and ‘Domestic Abuse Act’.

Information on testing in schools including different types of tests explained and recording results.

This last year has seen so much change and disruption for our young children with SEND, managing positive transitions to school will be key. Early Years SEND Transitions National Seminars – Date for south of England: 19th May 2021.

NHS in Devon and Healthwatch are working together to ask people aged 18-40 to share their views on the vaccination so that we can understand what, if any, barriers there might be to uptake among younger people.
