We fulfil this duty by publishing:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Performace Reports (below)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.devon.gov.uk\/impact\/\">Impact assessments<\/a> &#8211; a process which helps to assess the likely or actual impact a decision, policy, project or service has on different sections of the community (including employees).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.devon.gov.uk\/equality\/guidance\/equality-information\/\">Equality information<\/a> (data and feedback).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Performance Reports<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/devoncc.sharepoint.com\/:b:\/s\/PublicDocs\/Corporate\/IQCuZ5zaKMXUT5V7RIf-qpcaAUklaL9uvQddFT9lSLG2jug?e=jZyy5F\" rel=\"noopener\">Annual Performance Report 2025 <\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Previous reports<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Previous performance reports can be <a href=\"https:\/\/www.devon.gov.uk\/equality\/guidance\/equality-information\/annualreports\/\">viewed here<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">People and Groups<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Manager co-ordinates and monitors our plans and activities and is the Council&#8217;s principal advisor on equality and diversity matters. They are supported by two Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Officers. The team is based in Legal and Democratic Services.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Our elected member with the equality portfolio is <a href=\"https:\/\/democracy.devon.gov.uk\/mgUserInfo.aspx?UID=11593\" rel=\"noopener\">Councillor Cheryl Cottle-Hunkin<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In 2023 we launched an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.devon.gov.uk\/equality\/our-commitment\/equality-commission\/\">Equality Commission<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>We have a group of external partners who represent many of the diverse interests within our communities. They are drawn from the voluntary and community sector and are known as the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.devon.gov.uk\/equality\/our-commitment\/equality-reference-group\/\">Equality Reference Group<\/a>. Members advise and support our work on equality and diversity, providing ideas and challenging us on our performance.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>We also have several <a href=\"https:\/\/inside.devon.gov.uk\/task\/staff-networks-and-forums\/\" rel=\"noopener\">staff diversity networks<\/a>&nbsp;(restricted access: staff only) including Race Equality, Neurodiversity, Ability in the Workplace (disability), Menopause, and LGBT+.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Diversity Monitoring<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.devon.gov.uk\/equality\/guidance\/diversitymonitoring\/\">Diversity monitoring guidance<\/a>, published September 2016, explains how and why we may collect personal information about people for the purposes of diversity monitoring and&nbsp;communicating with service users.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Equality Objectives<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>We have set specific <a href=\"https:\/\/www.devon.gov.uk\/equality\/our-commitment\/objectives-and-action-plan\/\">Equality Objectives<\/a> to ensure we continue to improve outcomes for people. These objectives are developed in consultation with the Equality Reference Group.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Audits<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Race Equality Audit<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.devon.gov.uk\/equality\/news-and-reports\/raceaudit21\/\">Race Equality Audit<\/a> was commissioned by Devon County Council\u2019s (DCC) Leadership Group at the recommendation of the Lead Officer for Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The aim of the audit was to deepen the knowledge of Leadership Group members on EDI, to assist them in actively influencing and shaping the Council.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We have a specific legal duty to publish information about people affected by our policies and practices.
