Thank you for working with us to improve Short Breaks in the future

Over the past few months we have been talking to parents, carers, children, young people and providers to help us make sure Short Breaks for disabled children and young people really work for families in Devon.

Your views, comments and thoughts are really important in helping shape the future of Short Breaks together, and there were some brilliant ideas shared for us to consider, so a BIG thank you to everyone who has taken part in the survey, been to one of our recent workshop events, spoken with  us one to one, or invited us to visit their local meeting or coffee morning.

We’ve been looking at all the responses and feedback and we can already see some common themes, such as families wanting to spend quality time together, children and young people wanting to do more activities and to make friends, and parents wanting more self-help information and advice to support their own children.

We’ve published more about this, including what the next steps are, on our website.
