HOPE facilitator training – June 2018

HOPE (Helping Overcome Problems Effectively) is a 6 week course, newly introduced across Devon, which supports people to become more skilled and confident to better self-manage their health conditions. It  works by recognising that people have many assets of their own and by bringing groups of people experiencing similar issues together, the group support, befriend and enable each other to develop the skills, confidence and self-belief that they can improve their lives.

Each course is delivered by a 2 person team made up of an individual with lived experience of the condition/situation that is the focus of the course together with an experienced facilitator. In order to make the HOPE approach sustainable across Devon we need to recruit and train a team of facilitators.

If you are an experienced facilitator and are able to commit to co-facilitate up to three, six week programmes a year – we need you!

Facilitator training dates: 5th and 6th June
Time: 9am-4pm
Venue: Newcourt Community Centre, Exeter
