Champions for Change is the voice of all children and young people in Devon who need extra help with their learning. The group is run by young people with SEND for young people with SEND.
On 27 November, we held our second ever Champions for Change virtual meeting. And we’ve now added a PowerPoint presentation to our page so that you can learn more about we got up to in the meeting. We’ll add notes from all our sessions to the bottom of the Champions for Change page, so you can stay up-to-date with the group’s latest activities.
We discussed making Champions for Change leaflets, and where to put them. And we also began to think about making a Champions for Change video advert!
By the next meeting, the Champions have been asked to find out about their school councils – how they run, what happens at meetings, the subjects they talk about, whether everyone gets a chance to take part and so on. At the next meeting the Champions will be asked to give a small report on what they found out.
