The bar chart shows the school attendance rate of all groups of children and young people, who are classed as vulnerable during the pandemic.

These groups are children in Devon who have a social worker, children nationally who have a social worker, children with special educational needs and or disabilities, and national children with special educational needs and or disabilities.

Between September and December 2020, attendance for children with special education needs and or disabilities averaged 88% in Devon. Nationally, attendance was an average of 81% for children with special education needs and or disabilities.

Between January and March 2021, during the national lockdown, attendance for children with special education needs and or disabilities averaged 62% in Devon. Nationally, attendance was an average of 55% for children with special education needs and or disabilities.
