Innovation in Healthy Ageing: Challenges
Programme overview
The project is operating in the Heart of the South West LEP area specifically Devon, Plymouth and Torbay.
The Innovation in Healthy Ageing project responds to a number of challenges and opportunities around the impact of ageing populations, changing lifestyle choices and the rise in chronic conditions which are placing increased pressures on healthcare budgets.
This project will drive transformation on how healthcare services are delivered. The programme will allow the NHS and councils who have responsibility for adult social care to change the way they do business.
The project will achieve this by engaging with SMEs (and social enterprises) in the UK Life Sciences sector.
Calling upon their innovation and experience to provide solutions by exploring different approaches on how healthcare services can be delivered. It is part-funded by the European Regional Development Fund.
