Creative Innovation and Growth Grants Fund
Grants Fund Details
The CIAG Grants Fund involves the provision of revenue, capital, or mixed revenue and capital grants to eligible organisations and businesses:
- Revenue grants between £5,000 and £40,000 to support providers to implement innovative ways of diversifying and preventing clients from needing to be cared for e.g. day services.
- Capital, or mixed revenue & capital, grants between £7,500 and £80,000 for providers, to undertake capital works which will enable them to take on board new innovations and technology where this will grow/diversify the business or allow them to undertake additional preventative/outreach activities.
The emphasis is on developing new services, increasing sufficiency, developing new products and new innovative ways of working in the Adult Social Care Sector.
The grants fund period has been extended to June 2020. All applicant projects to the fund must be completed and defrayed prior to 30 June 2020. The deadline for applications to the current scheme ends on 30 January 2020. There is currently a proposal to extend the scheme until 31 March 2022, this proposal is subject to confirmation of the Council’s budget which is due after 14th February 2020. Expressions of Interest and Full Applications to the CIAG Grants Fund received after 30 January 2020 will be processed pending the proposed budgetary confirmation of the programme extension; thus applications received after 30 January 2020 may not progress further should the scheme not subsequently receive ongoing funding.
Who can apply?
The grants fund has three aims:
- To increase sufficiency in the ASC sector across Devon by supporting the market (including personal, residential and unregulated care) to grow; develop; and diversify, as appropriate. (This is a priority for all CIAG funded projects).
- To stimulate ‘edge of care’ outreach and prevention activities by: promoting and supporting independence; connecting people to their communities; keeping people healthier for longer; and thereby reducing the need for statutory intervention.
- To encourage innovation; take-up of new technology; new delivery models; and partnership developments.
All potential applications for grant funding must seek to meet the first aim of the grants fund; i.e. all project proposals must seek to increase sufficiency in the ASC sector across Devon.
Eligible ASC businesses and organisations in Devon, who develop a project which seeks to meet the 1st aim (or more) of the programme aims can apply for grant funding through this programme.
