Are you a professional concerned about an adult?
If you are concerned about an adult (aged 16+) who is affected by domestic abuse please complete the Risk Identification Checklist (Safelives DASH RIC) which will identify the level of risk and to which support service the client should be referred and follow the advice on the MARAC page for all levels of risk.
If you need guidence in completing the checklist, training is available. Please attend the MARAC half day training session – training dates and information can be found here.
Are you concerned about a vulnerable adult?
A vulnerable adult is:
- a person “who is or may be in need of community care services by reason of mental or other disability, age or illness,
- and who is or may be unable to take care of him or herself,
- or unable to protect him or herself against significant harm or exploitation”,
If you see, hear or suspect a vulnerable adult is being abused in any way, you must tell someone about it as soon as possible by contacting Care Direct.
