Officer Decisions

- Dave Black

Summary of Matter or Issue Requiring Decision:

Notice of intent to form a local bus services Enhanced Partnership & Scheme.

Decision Taken:

Devon County Council gave approval to proceed with the development of an Enhanced Partnership. The commencement of this is confirmed through this notice of the intention to prepare an Enhanced Partnership Plan and accompanying Enhanced Partnership Schemes, as required and set out in section 138F of the Transport Act 2000.

This is the first mandatory step in the Bus Back Better bidding process. The initial high level “Bus Services Improvement Plan (BSIP)” is due to go to Cabinet in October prior to submission to the DfT. Following this there will be a period of consultation and a Scrutiny Masterclass to canvas the wider opinions and options.  Submission of the Enhanced Partnership & Scheme will be due in Spring 2022; the BSIP will remain a working document.
