Consultation (closed)

Two consultations were carried out since September 2015, the first where schools were approached through the Devon Association of Primary Head Teachers, followed by a countywide consultation.

The countywide consultation received 361 responses from members of the public and 98 responses from 87 individual schools.

In February 2016, as a result of these consultations, plans were given the go head to manage and fund school crossing patrols in a new way. However, since that time considerably more feedback has been received from Devon families and schools. As a result, plans to ask schools to pay for their own lollipop men and women have been shelved.
