It can also provide support to help people become more financially resilient in the future.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The scheme is funded by the Department for Work and Pensions and is delivered locally through Devon&#8217;s district&nbsp;and city&nbsp;councils.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading section-heading\">Could the CRF help me?&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You may be able to get support if&nbsp;you&#8217;re&nbsp;on a low income and experiencing financial difficulties, such as:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>a sudden loss or reduction in income&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>an unexpected essential expense&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>difficulty paying for household essentials&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>financial hardship caused by a change in your circumstances&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You do&nbsp;not necessarily need to be receiving benefits to qualify for support.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you receive benefits, they will not normally be affected if you receive a payment from the CRF.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading section-heading\">Help with rent and housing costs<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">CRF Housing Payments, previously known as Discretionary Housing Payments, can provide short-term help if you\u2019re struggling to pay your rent because your Housing Benefit or Universal Credit housing costs do not cover the full amount.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You may be able to get support if you\u2019re experiencing severe financial hardship or your tenancy is at risk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">These payments are managed by district councils and funding is limited, so support will depend on your circumstances and the funding available<strong>.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Select your district council below to find out more about eligibility and how to apply.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading section-heading\">Heating oil support<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you\u2019re on a low income and struggling with the cost of heating oil, you may be able to get help through the Crisis and Resilience Fund.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Heating oil support is managed by district councils.
