Support from Devon County Council

Reconnect Rebuild Recover Community Fund

As we start to emerge from national lockdown arrangements and seek to gain a greater degree of normality, DCC is keen to help local communities to reconnect, rebuild and recover, safely and confidently, the rich and varied social and community-led facilities and activities within their communities which were so quickly suspended during the onset of the Covid pandemic and national lockdown.

The Reconnect Rebuild Recover Community Fund will provide grant funding of up to £1,000 for smaller projects and between £1,000 and £3,000  for larger projects for community-led initiatives which identify and achieve, in a safe (e.g. Covid compliant) and confident way, the important things that matter to and help local people to reconnect, rebuild and recover their community-led facilities and/or social activity.

Locality budgets

Each of our county councillors has an annual locality budget fund of £10,000 that they can use to respond to local needs within any financial year (April to March). Councillors can, if they wish, make grants to support projects or activities that benefit the communities they represent.

Financial hardship funds

Devon County Council has allocated one million pounds in grant funding to support people who need short-term emergency assistance to afford basic living essentials. The funding is being administered by the district councils who will provide small grants to people who need help. Contact your district council or refer to the list of grant schemes.

We will attempt to keep the list below up-to-date. If you are aware of other financial support, please email funding@devon.gov.uk.
