OPM* undertook work in different localities around England, using variations on this core agenda:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table table table-bordered table-hover\"><table class=\"has-fixed-layout\"><tbody><tr><th scope=\"col\">Time<\/th><th scope=\"col\">Welcome and introduction to the workshop<\/th><\/tr><tr><td>30 minutes<\/td><td>Your experience (facilitated discussion in groups)\n<ul>\n<li>&#8216;As I&#8217;ve grown older, I&#8230;&#8217;<\/li>\n<li>&#8216;Getting older in X area feels like&#8230;&#8217;<\/li>\n<li>&#8216;The things that have become more challenging are&#8230;&#8217;<\/li>\n<li>&#8216;The things I&#8217;m enjoying are&#8230;&#8217;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>30 minutes<\/td><td>Mapping our personal \u2018assets\u2019 and what they mean for us day to day (facilitated discussion in groups)\n<ul>\n<li>Visible assets \u2013 the possessions that help us to do things we enjoy \u2013 tools for gardening, a sewing machine for sewing, a car to get around etc)<\/li>\n<li>Skills and talents \u2013 the things we are good at and enjoy doing<\/li>\n<li>Relationships and networks \u2013 family, friends and neighbours<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>45 minutes<\/td><td>Mapping our collective local \u2018assets\u2019 and what they mean for us day to day (facilitated discussion in groups, using A1 printed maps, pens and sticky dots)\n<ul>\n<li>Public services \u2013 GP surgeries,<\/li>\n<li>Community places and spaces \u2013 halls, leisure centres, schools, parks etc.<\/li>\n<li>Community organisations \u2013 sports clubs, lunch clubs, CAB, charities like Age UK etc.<\/li>\n<li>Businesses we value as community resources \u2013 local shop, pub, post office etc.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>15 minutes<\/td><td>BREAK<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>30 minutes<\/td><td>Generating ideas for change (facilitated discussion in groups)\n<ul>\n<li>Could we make better use of the assets we\u2019ve talked about today?
