It aims to represent, advise, consult, communicate, train, inform and listen. As the voice of local councils it welcomes ideas and seeks thoughts from everyone. Membership is available to all parish councils, town councils and parish meetings in Devon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.devoncf.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Devon Community Foundation<\/a> is an independent charity which supports community projects across Devon. It&#8217;s for people who want to make a real difference to the lives of local people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.devoncommunities.org.uk\/hello\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Devon Communities Together<\/a> can provide support in relation to funding in the following areas:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Advice and training &#8211; getting ready for investment, fundraising, effective applications<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Loans from Community Council of Devon and other organisations<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Grants they administer<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The Council for Voluntary Service<\/strong> (CVS) offer advice and information on topics including funding, training and additional activities to support networking across the county. CVS organisations in Devon are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.colabexeter.org.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Exeter CVS<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.torridgecvs.org.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Torridge CVS<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The following CVS&#8217;s form the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.devonva.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Devon Voluntary Action Partnership<\/a> &#8211;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/actioneastdevon.org.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Action East Devon&nbsp;<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.involve-middevon.org.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Involve &#8211; Voluntary Action in Mid Devon<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ndvs.org.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">North Devon Voluntary Services<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.southhamscvs.org.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">South Hams CVS<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.teigncvs.org.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Teignbridge CVS<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.westdevoncvs.org.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">West Devon CVS <\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/plunkett.co.uk\/\" rel=\"noopener\">The Plunkett Foundation<\/a> mostly provides support in the form of expertise rather than financial grants, though some small pots of money are available to assist with feasibility work, provided at least \u00a310,000 is also sought through community share issue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/locality.org.uk\/projects\/power-change\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Power to Change Community Network<\/a> is a \u00a3150m Big Lottery Funded initiative, backed by Trinity Mirror and the National Lottery, that will support community-led enterprises across England. The Power to Change Trust is currently applying for the endowment of \u00a3150m from the Big Lottery Fund and this process is expected to be completed by the end of the year. It is envisaged that the Trust will be up and running in early 2015.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can join the network and register your interest in Power to Change and other community business opportunities.
