educational settings to understand the needs of children and young people, so they can plan ways to support them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>EPs work with children and young people who may need some help with:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Communication<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Memory<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Problem solving<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Study skills<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Thinking and learning<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Relationships<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Understanding behaviour<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Understanding feelings<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Information for for children and young people<\/a>, including some short videos, to explain what an educational psychologist does.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Information about Joint Assessment Meetings<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Joint Assessment Meetings (JAMs) are an opportunity for parents, carers and children to meet with professionals to make sure there is a shared understanding of the child\u2019s needs and the support required to meet those needs. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.devon.gov.uk\/children-families-education\/send-local-offer\/education-and-learning\/how-will-school-support-my-child\/send-support-in-school\/educational-psychology\/joint-assessment-meetings\/\">A
