It helps you gain skills and experience to get a paid job.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Unpaid and lasts 6\u201312 months<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Requires an Education, health and care plan (EHCP)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Split between work and college learning<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Support from a job coach and college tutor<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Goals of a supported internship<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Teach skills that employers want<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Show what you can do in the workplace<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Build confidence in your abilities<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Success is measured by getting paid employment.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Who can apply?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Young people aged 16\u201324<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Have an EHCP<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>No entry requirements.
