These include A levels, other academic courses and vocational programmes. To find out what courses are offered by each school it is best to look at the school\u2019s own website \u2013 look for the post 16 programme or prospectus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you have a child with SEND, take a look at the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.devon.gov.uk\/children-families-education\/send-local-offer\/preparing-for-adult-life-ages-14-25-years\/education-and-employment\/post-16-education-for-young-people-with-send\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"72035\">post-16 education options<\/a> section of the SEND Local Offer. You can also find&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/natspec.org.uk\/find-a-college\/search\/\" rel=\"noopener\">information on the Natspec website<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What this option could do for you<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Gaining qualifications can give you more choice about your future. They show employers, colleges and universities that you have the skills and qualities needed to succeed and progress.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Getting qualifications can boost your confidence and can help you get a well paid job.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Schools offer lots of ways in which you can develop your skills, knowledge, and experience in out of school activities, sport, music and taking part in the life of the school.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What you need to do now<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Decide what and where you would like to study.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Make an application to the school. If you are already a pupil at the school you will begin this process during year 11.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you are at another school, you might like to ask to visit, or attend an open day or evening.
