These courses are free for individuals who meet certain criteria. It limits the education\/training they can access. It was a construction course in Plymouth\u202f<\/a><div class=\"accordion-content\" data-tab-content><p>If a young person is over 19 and their EHCP has ceased, they can still access support through various options. My understanding is that CSW doesn&#8217;t offer this service to home educated young people anymore<\/a><div class=\"accordion-content\" data-tab-content><p>Young people who are home educated can access careers advice through various resources such as youth employment hubs, which offer free tailored support to suit the individual \u2013 for example, online or in-person appointments at a time and pace that suits the young person.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, there are online resources, for example, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.careerpilot.org.uk\/\" rel=\"noopener\">Careerpilot<\/a>. National Careers Service provides guidance to help young people make informed career choices.<\/p>\n<p>CSW Group has now ceased trading and the team that were delivering careers information, advice and guidance on behalf of Devon County Council has been taken in-house and are called the &#8216;Post-16 Learning Participation Team&#8217;. The offer remains the same for this academic year (2024\/25). The offer is as follows:<\/p>\n<h3>Young people with an EHCP<\/h3>\n<p>The Post-16 Learning Participation Team (Post-16 LPT) contact the parents of young people with an EHCP in year 9 to explain our offer and discuss post-16 options.<\/p>\n<p>In year 10 and year 11, Post-16 LPT provide careers information, advice and guidance to young people that want to change placement at the end of year 11.
