{"id":21380,"date":"2024-11-11T10:03:54","date_gmt":"2024-11-11T10:03:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.devon.gov.uk\/children-families-education\/?page_id=21380"},"modified":"2025-07-16T17:59:40","modified_gmt":"2025-07-16T16:59:40","slug":"our-delivery-plan-academic-year-2024-25","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.devon.gov.uk\/children-families-education\/send-local-offer\/working-together\/devon-local-area-special-educational-needs-and-disabilities-send-strategy-2024-to-2027\/our-delivery-plan-academic-year-2024-25\/","title":{"rendered":"Our Delivery Plan: \u200bAcademic year 2024\/25\u200b"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><strong>Our annual progress and impact report for the academic year 2024\/25 will be published in September.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>By the end of the autumn term (December 2024) we will:<\/strong>\u200b<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>regularly use feedback surveys to capture the experience of families during the Education Health and Care assessment and review processes.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>improve the systems, processes and tools used to support Education Health and Care needs assessments\u200b and reviews based on feedback<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>publish a SEND sufficiency strategy\u200b and plan<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>publish phase&nbsp;two of the&nbsp;Ordinarily&nbsp;Available&nbsp;Inclusive Provision (OAIP) framework\u200b<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>improve the navigation and accessibility of the Devon SEND Local Offer website\u200b<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>improve the content of the Devon SEND Local Offer website, with a specific focus on information about SEND and the levels of support available, the Education Health and Care assessment and review processes and information about preparing for adulthood.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>have a clear approach to monitoring the delivery of the strategy<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>By the end of the spring term (April 2025) we will:<\/strong>\u200b<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>organise, check and prioritise the waiting lists for autism assessment\u200b<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>deliver a new support offer for children and families on the waiting list for clinical assessments, including&nbsp;the introduction of&nbsp;key&nbsp;workers and&nbsp;a parent peer-led&nbsp;programme\u200b<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u200bpublish a&nbsp;new online all-age Neurodiversity&nbsp;Hub\u200b<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>deliver support to selected primary schools to meet needs of neurodiverse children and those with speech language and communication needs\u200b<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>redesign Devon County Council\u2019s education services\u200b<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>start collecting feedback from families on their experience of all services and organisations using the Four Cornerstones<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>By the end of the summer term (July 2025) we will:<\/strong>\u200b<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>create an additional 100 places in further education colleges for young people with SEND<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>This page will be regularly updated as our SEND Transformation Programme develops over time.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Our annual progress and impact report for the academic year 2024\/25 will be published in September.
