{"id":20438,"date":"2024-09-10T14:16:29","date_gmt":"2024-09-10T13:16:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.devon.gov.uk\/children-families-education\/?page_id=20438"},"modified":"2025-08-07T08:25:32","modified_gmt":"2025-08-07T07:25:32","slug":"what-is-the-send-local-offer","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.devon.gov.uk\/children-families-education\/send-local-offer\/about-send-and-the-local-offer\/what-is-the-send-local-offer\/","title":{"rendered":"What is the SEND Local Offer?"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>A local offer gives children and young people, aged 0-25, with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) and their families information to help them find the right help and support in their area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Its two main purposes are to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>provide clear, comprehensive and accessible information about the support and opportunities that are available<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>make provision more responsive to local needs<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Devon&#8217;s SEND Local Offer<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Devon&#8217;s SEND Local Offer brings together information around local education, health and care services, as well as other support available (either locally or nationally) that you may find helpful, in one place.
