She talked through 6 new easy read leaflets she has developed to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>make it easier for people to apply for a national bus pass<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>explain what a companion pass is<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>show people how and when they can use their national bus pass<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Board members also discussed other leaflets they thought should be developed to aid understanding of timetables and community bus services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Part two<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A Resource Manager for East talked about the Reaching for Independence Service. He spoke about:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>the aims of the service<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>who is eligible to receive support from the service<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>how to be referred into the service<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">AOB (Any other Business)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Members of Jargon Busters ( A Learning Disability Co-production Group) shared a film they had made to recruit more people with learning disabilities to the Board<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>There was an update from DPT on The Brook, a unit being built for people with learning disabilities and\/or autism who need help with mental health illnesses<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Learning Disability Partnership Board met on Monday 24 February.
