Many people who find themselves in this position decide to arrange their care and support themselves \u2013 as there is no need to involve the council in their care.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>If your savings or investments total less than the lower capital limit (\u00a314,250) you will contribute from your income alone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Savings and investments between the lower and upper capital limits will have a tariff income applied. This is \u00a31 per week for every \u00a3250 (or part thereof).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>For example, savings or investments of \u00a316,500 will attract a tariff of \u00a39 per week (\u00a316,500 \u2013 \u00a314,250 \u00f7 \u00a3250 = \u00a39).<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Please note<\/strong>: If you do not want to give us your financial details, you will have to pay the full cost of any care services you receive arranged through DCC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In some circumstances, you will not have to pay towards your care services.
