Electric buses, plastic waste in water and school littering

1)How quickly will you have a policy to ensure all new replacement buses are electric ?

Devon County Council does not have any plans to introduce a specific policy for all new replacement buses to be electric. OptionsĀ  for alternative propulsion will be picked up through the emerging climate emergency, Government funding and initiatives or new planning developments.

2) Have you ensured all plastic waste entering the water system has been halted ?

Devon County Council is not responsible for the removal and retrieval of waste from the water supply and therefore does not hold this information. This function is the responsibility of the Environment Agency, District and Unitary councils in Devon; please contact them directly using the information on the links provided. Privatised water companies also have a role; for example South West Water, and they have been subject to the Environmental Information Regulations since 2015.

3) What steps have you taken to remove all plastic already in the water system ?
