I would be grateful if you could provide the following information with regards to the A3124 (North Tawton ‘ Widdon Down) under the Freedom of Information Act 2000.
o Dates of all safety inspections undertaken on the A3124 in the two years preceding February 2018

All defect identified in the safety inspections can be identified in the reports referred to above.
o Details of how carriageway safety inspections are undertaken, including whether walked or driven, the speed of the inspection vehicle and the number of persons in the vehicle.

o The intended frequency of A3124 safety inspections.
Monthly
o Details of all complaints, reports and/or enquiries relating to the A3124, received in the two years preceding February 2018.
Records of complaints and enquiries are included in the documentation bundle referred to in response to the first question.
o The time period(s) adopted between identification and repair (temporary and permanent) of all categories of A3124 defects.
In relation to defects identified in inspections, this can be seen in the Highway Safety Manual referred to above. With reference to public reported potholes the time limit is 7 days. .
o Whether or not the authority has formally adopted all or part of the standards contained within the national code of practice for highways maintenance management, if not please specify.
The HIS policy has adopted a risk based approach in defining response times for defect repair following formal safety inspections
