We have an information request -see below –
Network rail are proposing to increase the road levels on Station Road, Hele, Exeter EX5 4PL and Hele Square, Hele EX5 4PA which will increase the risk of flooding to the properties in Hele Square.
Please can you advise of any approvals granted by Devon County Council and has the design been approved and authorised by the Highways and Transportation team as Network Rail are not working on their land but demolishing and replacing a highway structure owned by Devon County Council.
Could I also request copies of the scheme drawings (a general arrangement and cross section would suffice).
Devon County Council, as a highway authority, have yet to make its formal comments on the application and will do so shortly so Devon County Council does not hold this information.
The design of the new viaduct has been agreed in technical terms but its impact is to be determined. The Highway Authority is seeking additional information and calculations and drainage proposals given that the catchment surface area flowing towards Hele Square has increased. The Highway Authority will also be seeking a highway legal agreement before works can commence on the public highway and all details will need to have been designed and approved.
