“Re Riverside Court Chapel Street, Tiverton EX16 6AJ. Riverside Court was a 9 bed recovery unit for MH patients commissioned by DPT to support provider Rethink, leased from DCHA and closed in Jan 2016.
Please can you tell me did anyone make any contact to DCC re concerns /complaints generally and/or of Safeguarding concerns of Adults between 2012 and 31 January 2016 relating to Riverside Court.
I am not seeking specific names unless permitted under data protection but if so, please could I have as much information as you are permitted to release of the nature, details of concerns and by whom.
Contact could have been made from the following:
Police, GPs or GP practice, DPT, CCG, CQC, Mid-Devon Council, South West Ambulance Service, Rethink staff including Rethink staff working at Riverside Court, patients/service users/tenants residing at Riverside and including their relatives/friends of such or anyone from the general public, whether anon or not.
N.B – Many of the above would have been aware of a dept. for adult Safeguarding but many relatives, residents, family etc. were unaware this dept. existed.”
Response:
Devon County Council (DCC) can confirm that it did not receive any concerns or complaints relating to Riverside Court between 2012 and 31 January 2016.
As Riverside Court was commissioned by Devon Partnership Trust, it is possible that any concerns / complaints and/or Safeguarding concerns may have been made direct to the Devon NHS Partnership Trust. Should you wish to re-direct your request, please follow the contact details via the link provided.
