Regulations on use of Drones and Model Aircraft

“In accordance with the Freedom of Information Act would you kindly provide me with the following information:

1. Any byelaws, regulations, proposed or made by your authority or any predecessor authority with respect to both unmanned aerial vehicles otherwise known as drones, and also model aircraft.

Devon County Council’s Public Rights of Way Drone Code states that drones cannot be used within 50 metres of a public right of way.

In addition, use of drones is prohibited in Stover Country Park and on all other sites owned by Devon County Council, including at Devon County Council events.

2. Any committee reports, recommendations, advices or policies proposed or adopted with respect to both unmanned aerial vehicles otherwise known as drones, and also model aircraft.

Members of the public can search our website to locate any relevant committee reports.  There do not appear to be any relevant search results for ‘drones’ at present, but should there be any in the future, they can be located via this search facility.

3. Any instructions to investigate, report or prosecute and the outcome thereof for any unlawful use of either unmanned aerial vehicles otherwise known as drones, or model aircraft for breach of any byelaw or regulation.”

None.
