Green number plates

On 8 December 2020 the UK government launched a green number plate scheme, which it said could help “motorists benefit from local initiatives such as cheaper parking and cost-free entry into zero-emission zones.’

Please could you tell me if you have implemented any policies since 8 December that benefit owners of green number plates (yes or no). If the answer is yes, please could you list the names of the policies/measures

No policies have been implemented which directly benefit owners of green number plates.

However, in recent years the County Council has been involved in a number of collaborative public-private sector projects aimed at incentivising uptake of electric vehicles. Examples include the Devon Low-carbon Energy & Transport Technology Innovator (DELETTI) programme which is a £1.3m project that includes a phase 1 project rolling out electric vehicles chargepoints across the County at 60 public car parks and the Rapid Charging Exeter Devon consortium project, which will see on-street chargepoints delivered in the city and environs in the near future. Since the 8th December 2020, phase 2 of DELETTI programme has seen setup activity start for the installation of chargepoints at a further 38 public car parks.
