Devon County Council does not have specific contracts or prices for just the sleep night components in Supported Living. Judgements are made based on the fairness of pricing on a division of the total amount of money being paid to a provider, by the total number of hours of care and support that they are being asked to deliver.  That figure is then benchmarked in different ways to inform negotiations with providers.

7. What is the average hourly rate you pay directly to employed staff with in your organisation (LA, County Council, CCG) for sleep night duties?

If care staff member is working as waking night hours it would be based on £9.18 plus a third enhancement for 5 nights of the week, and a half enhancement for 1 night and double time for one night, assumes that the same number of staff at grade C work on each night. The approximate averaged hourly rate would be £13.32

If the care staff member is undertaking a sleep in function the night sleep in rate is £34.68 per night

8. For providers of whom your organisation (LA, County Council, CCG) commission to deliver supported living, what is the average hourly rate they pay their support workers/carers?

Having made the determination described in the response to Question 5 we do not and cannot attempt to then determine how much of that money is passed on by the provider to their employees. We do not  hold information relating to the average hourly rate providers pay their support workers/carers.
