COVID vaccinated staff and policies

How many staff employed by Devon County Council have received their COVID vaccination.

Please note vaccination information is not captured for school-based employees.

As at the 14th April 2021 – 2272 employees had recorded their 1st vaccine and 683 their 2nd one.

If this information is collated, then justify the reason for collecting this data?

As a Local Authority we are encouraging our staff to be vaccinated to protect themselves, their families, their colleagues, our service users and the wider community.

We are requesting that staff record on our HR system when they have had their vaccination, however, this is voluntary.  The information will only be used to give an overview of how the vaccination programme is rolling out across our wider workforce, and in particular to make sure that frontline teams in health and social care are supported to access the vaccination at an early stage as part of the national vaccination programme and in line with priority 2 of the Joint Committee of Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI) guidance.

All data regarding the vaccine is anonymised for the purpose of workforce analysis

Provide any policy you have in relation to COVID which include vaccination of staff. 

We are in the process of drafting a Vaccination Policy, and we await further guidance from the Government prior to finalisation, therefore this information is not currently held.
