“Under the terms of the Freedom of Information Act I would like to request details relating to total spend on textbooks in your Local Education Authority.
In particular, I would like to request the following information:
- How much was spent on textbooks in total by a) primary schools and b) secondary schools in each of the last five financial years?
- How much was spent in total on all classroom learning resources by a) primary schools and b) secondary schools, with an indication of what resources this would cover, in each of the last five financial years.
- What was the total amount of funding provided for all proposes to a) primary and b) secondary schools in the Local Education Authority in each of the last five financial years and how many schools that funding related to.
- What was the number of a) primary school and b) secondary school children in the Local Education Authority in each of the last five financial years?
Some parts of this request may be easier to answer than others, and should this prove to be the case I would ask that you release available data as soon as possible rather than hold up the entire request.”
Please note that Devon County Council (DCC) does not hold detailed information on the level of text books and classroom resources for individual schools.
