We are looking for friendly, outgoing people to volunteer at Exeter Library. We have a range of opportunities to suit all backgrounds and experience, including Events Volunteer, Meet and Welcome Volunteer, Computer Buddy Volunteer and Children’s Library Volunteer. Opportunities for Home Library Service Volunteers

Opportunities for Young Volunteers

We also offer opportunities for Young volunteers. Young people aged 11–15 can help us with a variety of library activities such as the Summer Reading Challenge, World Book Night, Book Track or craft activities. Young volunteer placements can vary in length and commitment but will offer young people the opportunity to:

  • gain valuable work experience
  • link with other accreditation schemes such as Duke of Edinburgh or Arts Awards
  • develop confidence, social skills and literacy skills
  • make a positive contribution to their communities
  • make new friends
