Devon Youth Wind Orchestra

Courtenay Centre, Main Hall
Kingsteignton Road
Newton Abbot

The Wind Orchestra, with nearly fifty members, is one of our most popular groups. All players are given the chance to experience music making to the highest possible level and to work on attaining the musical aptitude required to look towards a career in orchestral playing. Group members are encouraged to play a varied selection of music including popular medleys and more classical works, as well as the wealth of marches that are central to the Wind Orchestra repertoire.

Musical programme includes: medley from the musicals Chicago and Miss Saigon, Lincolnshire Posie (Percy Grainger)

Between 1.30-2.30pm, young players are welcome to rehearse with the band. A variety of parts will be available to suit all levels of ability.
