Sponsorship of Roundabouts

The County Council encourages individuals, organisations or companies to sponsor maintenance work on roundabouts.

Sponsorship of a roundabout is undertaken on a three year renewable basis, provided the sponsor carries appropriate public liability insurance and meets the costs of installing and maintaining the DCC approved planting and signing scheme.

The planting and signing schemes are agreed by the Area Engineer, following a set of conditions which can be found on the application form. These conditions ensure that the layout and design of the planting and signage will not be a distraction to drivers and will enhance the environment.

The type of planting needs to be appropriate to the location and where possible native plants should be used. No shrub or plant which has fruit, flowers or leaves poisonous to people or animals will be used on the highway.

To sponsor a roundabout print off the Roundabout Sponsorship form (304KB - pdf help) and post it to your nearest Highway Management Area Office.
