2. Medium Term Strategy to 2008
- Support SMG and Operational Divisions in the implementation of the Directorate's Modernisation Programme.
- Production of client based service plans informed by market mapping. Continued partnership working with Health, Housing and Education to commission a range of services providing choice, equality and flexibility to service users and their carers.
- Development of corporate contracting standards. Ongoing scrutiny on contracts to ensure compliance.
- Detailed Governance arrangements to be agreed between commissioning partners.
- Ongoing work with corporate agenda for "e" government. Exploration with Independent sector of options for the use of information technology within the wider commissioning process
