Devon Sensory Team
What is the Devon Sensory Team?
We are a specialist team providing services to people who are:
- visually impaired, or
- Deaf, or
- have an acquired hearing loss. or
- are deafblind - (sometimes known as a dual sensory impairment - people who have a significant combination of hearing and sight loss).
Our Staff:
The Sensory Team consists of the following:
- Social Workers with Deaf People
- ROVIs - Rehabilitation Officers with People who are Visually Impaired.
- ROHIs - Rehabilitation Officers with People who are Hearing Impaired.
- Resource Centre workers at:
the Sensory Bus
&
Sound Base.
Supported by specialist management and administrative staff.
Where are we?
Although we are a countywide team, our staff are strategically placed throughout the Devon. Some are based in Devon Adult & Community Services locality offices, others in our own team offices from where we co-ordinate our work
