Improving Health and Wellbeing in Devon
The Way Ahead
Devon County Council and Devon Primary Care Trust have been working together on a major countywide review of what people need from their health and social care services - both now and in the future.
In summer 2007, during the first part of our review – Improving health and wellbeing in Devon- involving you - we gathered information, made a detailed assessment of people’s needs, profiled the use of health and social care within our Devon Towns and rural hinterland areas, examined existing services and talked to people about what they wanted.
In spring 2008, with the information we had gathered, we shaped the way ahead - setting out how health and social care will be improved in Devon over the next five years.
In autumn 2008, following feedback on our consultation document, we updated the way ahead which now includes new sections and information to reflect people’s priorities and concerns.
The strategic framework that sets the direction for health and social care in Devon has now been agreed by Devon County Council and Devon Primary Care Trust and published in our latest document – The way ahead – five years of improvement. (1.40MB - pdf help)
We welcome your views and feedback on this review and our priorities for the next five years
